Fourth graders have been working with various types of graphs last week and this week. Although students are practicing how to find information from graphs, we are also focusing on when each type of graph is the most appropriate choice for the given data. We are also using graphs to identify trends. Students used the createagraph.com site to build their own graphs which were color-printed for display.
Fourth graders have been working on pictorial and numerical patterns. They have also used input/output tables to identify the patterns and create an equation describing the in/out rule using a variable. They have also been working on creating and solving multi-step word problems. We will be working with basic multiplication and division and graphs next week. Students will take a multiplication speed test next Friday, November 20th.
